Coastal flooding issues are likely due to a combination of high astronomical tides, large waves and a small storm related surge in water levels. The most likely impacts are spray and wave overtopping in exposed coastal locations and flooding to low-lying land and roads. Findhorn to Lossiemouth
A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Findhorn to Lossiemouth.
A combination of spring high tides and storm surge means that there is a risk of flooding to low lying land, roads and properties along the Moray Firth coast from Findhorn to Lossiemouth. Strong winds have been westerly for the past few days but are moving round to a northerly direction which will create large waves later on Thursday, increasing the risk of flooding.
Flooding is expected for the hours either side of high tide on Thursday afternoon around 14:00 GMT. There is also a risk of flooding overnight around the high tide in the early hours of Friday morning at 02.30 GMT with large waves expected.
High tide heights are dropping from Friday onwards and the risk of flooding will pass after these tides.

An updated FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Findhorn to Lossiemouth.
A combination of high tides and prevailing weather conditions means that flooding from the sea is expected to affect low lying land, roads and properties along Moray Firth from Findhorn to Lossiemouth. The harbour at Burghead could be affected by coastal flooding.
Flooding impacts are possible around the time of the high tide on Wednesday at 02:00 GMT. Sea levels are expected to be lower than experienced around the Tuesday afternoon high tide, however with variable wind and wave conditions there is a risk from wave related impacts in places.

Flooding is expected around the times of the high tides on Tuesday at 01:30 and 13:30 GMT.

Low lying parts of at risk of flooding in Lossiemouth include, the Marina, Marina Quay, Seatown Road and Seatown. The harbour at Burghead could be affected by coastal flooding.
Flooding is expected around the times of the high tides on Sunday at 00.00 GMT and Monday 13.00 GMT.
There could be a small chance of flooding during Tuesdays 01.00 GMT high tide. An updated flood warning will be issued on Monday if the situation changes for Tuesdays high tide.

A FLOOD WARNING update has been issued for Findhorn to Lossiemouth.
A combination of high tides and prevailing weather conditions means that there is a risk flooding from the sea along the coast from Findhorn to Lossiemouth. Seatown and areas around the caravan park in Lossiemouth may be at risk from high water levels.
The highest water levels have now passed but there may still be a risk of flooding around the times of the next two high tides, on Tuesday night around 3:30am and Wednesday around 3:30pm.
